Madagascar little muslim boy

Officials from the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) visited Madagascar as part of education, health, agriculture and well projects launched in 19 African countries.


IHH team paid a visit to Madagascar, the largest island in Indian Ocean and the fourth largest in the world, as part of IHH’s African Aid Program. Ruled as a colony for many years, Madagascar has been subjected to large-scale economic and social exploitation.
Unemployment and poverty abound in Madagascar and streets of the capital city are full of beggars, particularly mothers with two or three children beg incessantly. You can see homeless people sleeping in the street. The country urgently needs schools and hospitals. People seeks shelter in missionary activities to avoid illiteracy and poverty as a last chance. People can enter the world of different cultures and religions unfamiliar to them at a time when they are helpless and weak.
The IHH delivered food to 2,000 families in the capital city of Antananarivo and Tamatave. We later consulted with people about needs of the regions. We found that the projects of building a school, hospital, mosque, meeting needs of 50 orphans, studies to translate Quran and establishing a radio station should be supported urgently. The association of Islamic universities (LDUIM), the association of Madagascarian Muslims (SFM), African Muslim association (AMA) located in the region are trying to help needy people. At the end of our eight-day visit, we had significant and urgent projects on our agenda. We hope we will be honored to realize these projects in the near future
